I'm unemployed - started a two year tour guide course - I'll get three months severance from my last job tax-free as long as I don't go back within 6 months.
As soon as I get my last check I'll step down to the unemployment office because right now it seems like getting 75% of what I was making will be the highest income I can obtain. (it's weird tat I'll be officially unemployed for the first time in my life!)
The tour guide course popped up suddenly as an idea around Tuesday as I was wondering what I wanted to do with my future in Israel. I had already seen that making a career at IDT wasn't as stable as I might have liked. I interviewed for a job with a call center that worked for online gaming (which I would have taken if the guide course didn't open up right wen it did). The part of te online gaming that really made me feel icky inside was they saw that I had been doin Retention for the past three years and liked that I might be able to help them do winbacks n the future. Winback being when you solicit former users and try to entice them to use the service again. It felt a bit too much like slinging Smack. "ey man - ain't seen you around in while - here take a dime bag on the house - wat you don't even ave our kit any more, no worries you can borrow mine just bring it back to me when you come for more next week,,,"
That's what I call crapmeat salad!
So I think I'm Good for 6 months - definitely 4 after that maybe I ca already start to work in tourism some where - time Will tell...
