kick-ass stereo

OOhhhh- almost forgot.
So after reading this living simply website, I went on another round of purging stuff/crap/junk around the house. The fact that I'll only garbage pick one item at a time has helped but you know how old habits die...
So we were recently given a tv, broken Dvd player that powers a woofer and three of the possible five surround sound speakers. Now it would have been a little cooler if the player could recognise any disk, or if the other 2 speaker were around but I certainly didn't complain and after fucking with it for an hour when i first got it - I haven't touched the DVD player at all. When I watch tv I end up watching "the Apprentice" so surround sound wasn't a big concern. (Anyway we move the tv at least once a week so the extra speakers would mean extra work.

So my cd player was bought here a couple of years ago, and while it's a nice boom box, it has recently gotten even moodier about reading disks.

Now I have a small table with:
a keyboard on the bracing of the legs
a powerpc set to autoplay whatever cd it has in it
a dvd player that after three pushes of a button on the remote will read vid1
a woofer (I know it would sound better elsewhere)
two small speakers

It looks odd/cool/impressive and as soon as I figure out how to load music onto the hard drives I'll learn those keyboard commands so my juke box will never nee a monitor.
